GTL Diesel

What is GTL diesel?

GTL (gas-to-liquid) diesel is a synthetic paraffinic fuel made from natural gas rather than crude oil. It meets the EN 15940 standard and can be used in many modern diesel engines in place of, or mixed in any ratio with, regular diesel – always check your engine manufacturer's approval first.

How it differs from regular diesel

GTL is almost free of sulphur and aromatics, so it burns more cleanly: less visible smoke, less soot and a noticeably milder exhaust smell in the cockpit. It is very stable in storage and contains no biodiesel, which makes it a good choice for boats that are used infrequently.

Availability

Like other premium grades, GTL is offered at a limited number of stations. The stations below are the ones that carry it.
